Now that February is gone
Don’t let the love go
For if it does
Then it was not really so.
Love is not part time
That lasts for a little while
And allotted time frames
Are never true love style.
Twenty-eight days is a fail
If that’s all there is to it
And now that March is here
Is this the time to quit?
No, love goes on and on
Through March, April and May
And all the way to December
Each and every day.
It’s the fresh air of spring
The summer clouds on high
The glowing colours of autumn
And snow from the winter sky.
It’s the pulse of a beating heart
The circuitry of the brain
The nerves that cause our limbs
To respond again and again.
It’s the flowers that daily bloom
The twinkling stars at night
It’s the chirping sound of birds
And the radiant full moonlight.
It’s a peaceful sleeping baby
On a mother’s breast
Or a contented little child
At rest on his father’s chest.
It’s a bird feeding its young
Nested on the branch of a tree
It’s the peace in a world of chaos
That God gives to you and me.
Such Love will never die
As long as there is God
So with such assurance
Let's spread His love abroad.
