Conflagration, Incineration & Arson

87,000+ World On Fire Pictures

I know you are seeing red

It is common to the above,

And whether we agree or not

It is still one love.

Conflagration is a fire

Incineration is as well,

And what arson actually insinuates

I do not have to tell.

All three speak to fire

Though arson is of evil intent,

Arsonists employ fire to destroy

But you are not so bent.

A conflagration is any fire

Burning out of control,

Like the California summer fires

Whose devastation is untold.

Incineration is controlled

And confined within a space,

Usually, a contraption to contain

The fire taking place.

So many fires are raging

Of the arson type,

And many a political minion

Engage in fiery hype.

Like those California fires

Burning out of control,

Not of incineration but arson

And the drama unfolds.

The Suez Canal: a precious artery of global trade - Il Nuovo Mediterraneo

International conflagration

Reaching regional shores,

Pushing import prices higher

Causing inflation to grow.

Some incineration too

Getting rid of undesirables

Be it re Russia and the Ukraine

Or the Gaza strip and Israel.

Yes, controlled demolition

And collateral incineration,

A casting into hell as it were…

Human deprivation.

And the arsonists’ identity?

The political directorship!

Hand in hand with the filthy rich

Espousing their sales pitch.

World On Fire viewers break down in tears as BBC series returns to screens after four years | The Sun

“Sanitizing the imperil earth

For generations to come,”

A “slash and burn” you might say,

When all is said and done.

“Rid the garden of weeds

That the produce may grow,”

Produce determined by the farmer

That only a farmer can know.

Playing God as it were

Regarding who lives or dies,

Narcissism first, then nepotism,

And all that such implies.

Oh, what a conflagration

Across the political landscape!

Millions of unfortunate souls

Simply being raped.

Robbed of dignity and drive

Deprived of human rights,

Incinerated in the claws of adversity,

A most unsettling sight!

Such conceited arsonists

With almost unlimited power!

Safe in their self-contained bunkers

As above them go up in fire.

They owned the igniters

That caused the conflagration

And the incinerators too are theirs,

What devastation!

8 Billion People: How We Got Here and What it All Means — The Latch

Eight billion is untenable

The poor can’t afford the trip,

How dare they share the resources

Of the powerful and rich!

Another School

Airport Incinerator Smoke Forces Closure at St. Bartholomew School - Starcom Network

Another school with an issue

Yes, another school,

One more added to the lot-

This is not cool.

From sick buildings

To contaminated atmosphere

Where breathing is hazardous

Because of impure air.

Another ministerial task

Searching for accommodation

For school staff and pupils

In a safe location.

Tamara Alleyne on X: "@Taylored2jump ❤❤❤ So this happened today! Students at Luther Thorne Memorial Primary School in the shape of #Barbados❤❤ #TammyLuvsBIM🇧🇧 https://t.co/BKJ3eMTZ9g" / X

From suspecting flooring

To mold on the walls,

From construction and incineration

With no fix in sight at all.

The constant MOE’s promise

Not to compromise health

Is becoming like a useless textbook

Still occupying a shelf.

The union is not happy

The parents are unhappy too,

John public is becoming frantic

And no doubt, so are you.

Another school under threat

And I have lost count

Not to mention other sick buildings-

An unusual amount.

There is a quality of life

That tens of millions can’t buy,

We are paying a price for progress

And many die.

BUT calling for attention to 'sick building' – Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation

The young and the old

And the very many in between,

Sick buildings and impure air-

What does it all mean?

We are not managing, I think,

As we ought to manage,

Proper maintenance is not optional

If we will control damage.

A closer look at schools

Public health and our buildings,

“A stitch in time saves nine”

No use in pretending.

From Cook to Burney

You gone and burn that ham?
You burn the pork too?
Tell me what are you thinking about?
What is it that is wrong with you?

So what about the turkey?
And what about the chicken stew?
Please woman, do not tell me
That you gone and burn them too.

Wait! My church pants got a burn
And it is right down the leg,
For right now my lady
I am most definitely seeing red.

Tell me, what gone wrong?
You’re just burning everything,
Now I know for a fact
You must be related to Burnet and Sims.

You know Burnet that burns
Just like you burning everything
But no Sims on the other hand
Sauce burnt instead of simmering?

Can you imagine this?
Yesterday I ask you to burn the trash,
You blatantly refused to do that
Saying you can’t stand the ash.

But today the ham is burnt
The Pork is burnt through and through
The turkey is burnt and so are my pants
You even burn the chicken stew.

Name change from Cook to Burney
And what is more, you didn’t tell me,
It was “Licorish” and I changed it to “Cook”
But you changed it again arbitrarily.

You are burning everything in sight,
I mean everything that should be cooked
Yet when I ask you to burn the trash
Yesterday, I encountered no such luck.

Multitasking was the lame excuse
That was given for all these mishaps
And in addition the wife also blamed me
Since I spent that day lying on my back.

On reflection I should have helped
Particularly regarding the cost of that ham
I regret that now more than you’d ever know
For cremation was never a part of the plan.

I regret to announce the death of my ham
Burnt beyond recognition by my madam
Along with three other meats and one long pants
O how I regret the incineration of that leg ham!
