Not Imaginary It’s Real

The Battle is Real - Mt.Zion Church

The fight is on and the battle strong

One side or another, to one you belong

No sitting on the fence until you decide

You are God’s or Satan’s with one you abide

He that believes not is already condemned

This vital fact one needs to comprehend

Trust in God or on the devil depend

Be straight, be clean, don’t you dare pretend

There is no middle road I must repeat

Just a broad highway and the narrow street

Few there be that walk that narrow road

But on the broad many make hell their goal

Nothing political about the choice we make

It is not choose one party the other forsake

It is a choice between heaven and a fiery lake

Not a five-year duration but an eternal stake

Freedom of choice | daily times

It’s a choice to be made during this sojourn

For having exited this life there is no return

To change one’s mind concerning eternity

Right here is where we determine our destiny

I feel constrained to write poems of this type

Believe me this is not some emotional hype

A lot is at stake as we view a sinner’s plight

At this time when darkness passes for light

Fewer absolutes as the lines become blurred

And less store being placed in God’s Holy Word

More support for the evolutionists’ worldview

And more lies displacing that which is true

Be assured that God is not asleep; He sees all

Neither is His ear deaf to those who call

Evil may appear to triumph for a while

But God will expose all of Satan’s guile

What’s hidden in the cellar will come to light

God’s view is not hampered by day or night

He knows the human heart and every thought

He sees what we seek even before it is sought

Nothing in All Creation is Hidden from God… | FaithHub

All is made plain before God’s very eyes

Nothing reaches Him as a shock or surprise

It matters not how the devil plans his disguise

God is the Almighty One; He’s the God only wise

Some declare that many roads lead to Him

Perhaps citing this to cover up their sin

Regarding agendas that are personal to them

They deem their lifestyle as being no problem

But they are so wrong as the Bible explains

Neither here nor over there will be their gain

Thus, this poem’s title: Not Imaginary, It’s Real

God planned His course and He never fails.

Heaven and Hell

Whether we like it or not
Whether we agree or disagree,
Heaven and hell is a fact
Regarding our destiny.

The Bible makes it clear
That God created both,
Most people relish heaven
But hell everybody loathes.

Some say there is no hell
Others say hell is right here.
Then there are still others
Who neither opinion share.

Hell is a frame of mind
That’s what some opine,
Heaven is what you make it
Given the daily grind.

I would rather believe in hell
And discover there is none
Than believe to the contrary
And find out there is one.

Jesus describes hell as a place
Where the worm does not die,
He says the fire is not quenched
On his word we can rely.

Hell is an eternal destiny
Prepared for Satan and his angels
But those who reject the Lord Jesus
Will also burn like rubble.

That’s horrid I hear you say
And indeed it is so
But heaven is the alternative
And now I know you know.

Jesus talked about heaven too
In fact that’s where he resides,
Except one is converted
Entry to heaven will be denied.

There’re those who would prefer
That there’d be heaven and no hell
But hell became a reality
When Satan from heaven fell.

If Jesus be your Saviour
Then hell you need not fear,
Heaven is your destiny
And Jesus will get you there.

But if Satan is your guide
And Jesus you have rejected
You had better changed that view
Or hell is what can be expected.

Just A Dash

It’s 11:58 on June 19th
Now it’s June 20th
Time is fleeting
Like a rocket it’s speeding

A moment in time
A moment is just that
Almost split decision making
That is a fact

What we do in that moment
Determines a lot
It will some day determine
Our eternal spot

Not to be treated lightly
We must understand
There’s an after life judgment
That is God’s plan

Life is a dash
We will all make a splash
But we must be careful
Not to be rash

Little time to correct
Errors we make
All the more reason
That care we should take

Life is a dash
Let me say that again
Though it mostly feels long
When there is pain

However it’s a critical dash
That shapes eternity
For what is done therein
Determines our destiny

A decision for Christ
Means a decision for heaven
Hell is the reward
For those not forgiven

Sound harsh I know
Coming from a loving God
But don’t be deceived
By Satan the Fraud

He is the cause
But he won’t tell you that
He’ll cheat you blindly
Then turn his back

“Oh you have time!”
He’ll make you believe
Then have a celebration
Each time you’re deceived

Knowing full well
That the dash is short
A decision for Christ
He’ll cause you to abort

Make your dash count
Make it count for Christ
His earthly dash
For you he sacrificed

Just thirty-three years
For you and for me
For me that dash
Has shaped my eternity

Your eternity depends
On your response to that dash
Choose Christ I implore
Do not be rash

Just a dash, I agree
But a significant one indeed
Let it matter to you
Choose Christ I plead

Let me press on you mind
Re: your dash in time
It will eternally haunt you
If Christ you decline
