October All Over?

Autumn Background Goodbye October Hello November Quote Pictures, Photos, and Images for Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, and Twitter

October all over

The month I mean,

Now we are into November

It’s no new scene.

It once meant storms

But this is no more

Since we’ve had inclemency

With flooding galore.

The stormy season

Now ends in November

Hence, it would do us well

To remember.

September, remember

And we still do

But November follows suit;

This is true.

October all over

Doesn’t mean storms

Therefore, my cynical friend,

Be warned!

Climate Change: The Impact of Increased Carbon Emissions and Global Warming and Sustainable Solutions

It’s climate change

I have heard some say

For all this unstable weather

We get nowadays.

Global warning,

They will also add

Is another reason why weather

Sometimes turns bad.

Don’t drop your guard

At least, not yet,

For across some communities

It has been very wet.

Flooding across sections of Barbados

Roads were flooded

And almost impassable

Giving us notice that storms

Are still possible.

Have a great November,

It is not over yet,

Keep monitoring the weather;

It still poses a threat.

A word to the wise…

You know how this goes

For the future whether near or far,

None of us knows.

October all over

Means November is here:

Hurricane season is not ended

So, still be prepared.

Modern Day Sun

August 'equals July as hottest month in modern times' - Gulf Times

Was the sun as hot as this

When I was still at work?

Then, it did burn a little

But it sure did not hurt.

Today it burns a lot more

And now it surely hurts,

My verdict is it’s definitely hotter

Than when I was at work.

I sympathize with all of you

That have to work in this,

To be honest, having retired,

There’s nothing about it I miss.

It drains you, upsets you,

And fills you with lethargy,

Today’s sun is hotter

And I must add, definitely!

Don’t tell me about my age,

I hear young ones cry out,

Not a bother when I was young

But today? Without a doubt.

Sun becoming HOTTER each day – 'Will render Earth uninhabitable' | Science | News | Express.co.uk

Modern day sun is hotter-

I dare not ride in it,

Earlier up in the year I could

But no more is it a habit.

About twice each week

I have need to go into St Michael

And I must admit, my friends,

I really feel for you people.

I do not like air-condition

So, I keep my windows down

But I am beginning to think again

Especially when in Bridgetown.

So hot, so intensely hot,

You actually breathe hot air,

Yet the vagrants walk around

As if they haven’t a care.

Barefoot on tar road

Protected by calloused feet

Must be their preservation

In this intense heat.

I hear ’bout global warming,

I must admit, I haven’t a clue

So, I cannot say if it is false

Or if it is actually true.

August 'equals July as hottest month in modern times' - Gulf Times

Something is responsible

For this disproportionate heat

That happens in July and August

But in June it truly tweaked.

If this is any indication

What July and August will be

It would be better to stay at home

Or spend the days at the sea.

Heat is really my nemesis,

I do not handle it well

So, “rain, rain come again today,”

For me, that would be swell.

Modern day sun is blistering

Like it’s already hell’s fire on earth,

I cannot recall it being as hot

Ever since my birth.

If this is any indication

Of what hell is going to be

Then ask Jesus Christ to rescue you;

Thank God, he rescued me.

It’s Like

Topsy-Turvy World | More than Useless

What will they think of next?

That used to be creativity,

Today, however, in my view

It now refers to depravity.

It’s like we are digging a hole

To nowhere in particular

With no chance of getting out

In the foreseeable future.

It is like burying yourself

And really, really, enjoying it,

In fact, loving it so much

That it becomes your life mandate.

Like one drinking his vomit

While smacking his lips

And giving the impression

It’s an exciting trip.

It’s like down under is better

Than being at the top

And I don’t mean in Australia

But an under the earth spot.

Hire people with common sense, critical judgment and a moral/ethical compass - Philadelphia Business Journal

There was a time not long ago

When some things were frowned upon

Now they have become endeavors,

We are depraved and undone.

No doubt you would demand

That I should supply a list

But I am sure that with a little thought

You can do exactly this.

It’s like a topsy turvy world

Or like a child left on his own,

With the parent feeling accomplished

And smiles when he should groan.

It’s like not enough dirt,

I don’t mean cultivating land

But becoming the lowest of the low

As though that were the plan.

The World Best Quotes: "Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring." - Marylin Monroe

It’s like a competition to see

How ridiculous we can get

And if we are defeated at it

We express appreciative regret.

We talk about global warming

And about promoting things green,

But we are daily encouraging

A despicable garbage scene.

I do not the mean the garbage

That’s in front and behind

But the kind that we have allowed

To destroy our minds.

A Godless society

Is what we are becoming

And we feel particularly pleased

About the way we are living.

It’s like we have exchanged value

For wholesale worthlessness

And what was once worthless

Is now considered the best.

How Good Is Your Brand's Moral Compass? | Ogilvy's Asia

It’s like it’s better to be lost

Than to know where you are

And to have no moral compass

Is better by far.

It’s like then I can do

Whatever my warped mind desires

And take great offense

At who are otherwise inspired.

It’s like the church is praying

But it is getting worse

And even education institutions

Are perpetuating the curse.

It’s like this is real serious

But who really cares?

We are so terribly drugged

That we have become unaware.

It’s like I am talking

About a world that you don’t know,

No, it is just that you are insensitive

To this numbing horror show.

It’s the devil’s greatest heist

But it’s like we do not know

That Satan will never be our friend

But rather, our greatest foe.

Redemption Draweth Nigh

The writing’s on the wall
Even written across the sky,
World events seem to suggest
That redemption draweth nigh.

Oh, I know you’ll fuss and say
I have heard that all my life,
But I have news for you today,
Note the upward trend of strife.

Things are really heating up
As prophesied in God’s Word;
Evidenced by CNN, BBC and Fox News
Listen my friend: haven’t you heard?

There’s Ebola and the like
So puzzling to the mind,
As Chikungunya plus dengue
Cause our health service to decline.

Earthquakes in numerous places,
Famines and pestilence too,
Wars and mounting skirmishes
As countries emphasise their view.

Again I hear your response,
As you argue that’s nothing new,
But in a moment of honesty
You’d note the speed at which it grew.

For never before, as it is now
These happenings near to home;
Always occurred in far off lands
But certainly not in our zone.

In the Holy Word we read
How things will only get worse,
But cynics laugh and scoff as well
And continue to satisfy their thirsts.

At present, downturn and recession
Have the whole world in its grip,
The more upbeat the forecast
The faster we seem to slip.

International currencies struggle
To maintain their financial edge;
While stock markets teeter-totter
On an unstable economic ledge.

Global warming is on the rise,
The price of progress, perhaps;
As man seeks out new frontiers
And strives to make new contacts.

For somewhere in the universe
There’s a voice other-than-his-own,
Not God’s, he has determined
But beings from another zone.

So as his knowledge increases,
He tries to reach that voice
And one day he truly believes
That he’ll vindicate his choice.

Travel has become commonplace
Across our world and outer space;
And as our technology improves
No doubt we’ll make greater haste.

Meanwhile there’s moral decay
As the family takes a broadside hit;
Two daddies or two mummies
Were never meant to be a family unit.

Persons of great intelligence demand
That sexual preference be respected;
An admission of the Creator’s own design
Is the fact that they’ve rejected.

This rapid increase of knowledge,
With the prevalence of our space travel
Speaks to the coming of our Lord,
In Whose Book it’s easily unraveled.

And so, as we look all around us
And see the happenings of the times,
Don’t get flustered and become shy
For our redemption draweth nigh!

Try not to guess the day or hour
Or, like the cynics, laugh and deny,
For in a moment that you think not,
Our redemption draweth nigh!

Now as the Spirit continues to strive
Do no longer the Lord deny;
Any day now He will arrive
For our redemption draweth nigh.
