Cross Over

 

Desirable or undesirable

 Comes into play

Whenever we think of cross over

In its varied ways.

 

There is a cross over

That should be desired

And then there is a cross over

Personally, I could never admire.

 

Two cross overs I can think of

Are related to life,

One of these is eternal

The other is fraught with strife.

 

There are also cross overs

 In everyday life:

These are fairly commonplace

But I will use the word rife.

 

These in themselves

Are neither good nor bad,

Just a matter of difference

That makes someone glad.

 

 

You may put a cross-over

In your speaker box

So that the sound therefrom

Is improved a lot.

 

The music becomes brighter

And certainly, less muddled,

And the tweeter will not be reduced

To just mere rubble.

 

You may want to cross over

A road or a stream

To the side you deem better

Or to take in a different scene.

 

So much for the mundane

I mean relatively speaking:

These two, for contrasting reasons,

People are seeking.

 

Some grow tired

Of the gender they came with

As a result of this anomaly

They make a shift.

 

 

A switch from male to female

Or the other way around,

And then go to great lengths

To state why they are so bound.

 

They may even switch back

If they are not happy with this

As though, on second thoughts,

There is something they miss.

 

This final cross over

Is a person’s primary need,

It is based on the faith principle

Not how a person may feel.

 

 

This is the cross over

To life from death

And it is the only cross over

That gives the soul sweet rest.

 

All the other cross overs

Are man-driven

But this cross over, through Christ,

Man is forgiven.

 

This is the crossover

Which takes us from death to life

Made possible to man

Through Christ’s sacrifice.

 

 

It is the cross over

Into Canaan land:

In the Old Testament it was physical

But to the born-gain

It is God’s eternal plan.

 

Through faith in God

And acceptance of His grace

We can make this cross over

Into that wonderful place.

 

For God so loved the world,

That he gave his only begotten Son,

That whosoever believes in him

Should not perish,

But have everlasting life.

It’s In Your DNA

You are who you are

That’s what you have become,

You can’t change who you are

You are your father’s son.

No matter how hard you try

You can’t change your mother,

Your roots are your roots

However much you bother!

Your sister and your brother

That is if you have one

Will always be the family

Into which you were born.

Biological family is immutable

It’s in your DNA!

The family you were born into

That’s your family to stay.

So it is with the spiritual

At the time one is born again,

In John chapter 3 and verse 6

Jesus makes this very plain.

Plain it is my brother, my sister

But yet still confusing

To those that try to unpack it,

It is utterly bemusing.

There’s a DNA in the Spirit,

The Holy Spirit I mean

That transforms the born again

From what he has been.

Dead in trespasses and sins

The result of our fore parent’s sin

But obtaining the DNA of Christ

When the Holy Spirit comes in.

Some try to explain it

But it warrants no explanation,

Just by faith in God’s grace

Accept His proffered salvation.

  

His DNA will be yours

He will never ever disown you,

For he ever sticks to His word

And all His promises are true.

One cannot undo his birth

Neither can he undo his rebirth:

The latter was done in heaven

The former is of the earth.

It’s in your DNA I repeat

If indeed you’ve been born again,

The Holy Trinity is within you

You can boldly make that claim!
