None Is Squeaky Clean

Gerbils get the house squeaky clean as they vacuum, pour tea and paint in sweet snaps | The US Sun

In every life there’s a little dirt

A little scum and grease,

And often it turns up to haunt us

And to rob us of our peace.

None of us is squeaky clean

There’s some dirt in every past

And to ever get the rid of it,

Is an impossible task.

None can rewrite his history,

What is written is written

But God is faithful to all that asked

And our sins can be forgiven.

Our sins He nailed to the cross

When His Son was crucified,

Our past we can put behind us

We no longer have to hide.

All Have Sinned - Ebenezer 'Yinka Daramola

For all have sinned, the Bible says,

And fallen short of God’s glory

But God through Jesus made a way

To change our sin-stricken story.

The wages of sin is death

But someone paid that debt for us

And just in case you didn’t know,

That someone is Jesus.

He calls the whosoever to himself

It matters not what he has done,

He will in no wise cast him off

There’s no more need to run.

One cannot rewrite his past

But it need not be his blight,

Jesus can change the vilest sinner

If he would come to the light.

That light is Jesus!

Jesus is the light of the world,

There is life eternal in Jesus Christ

He is the living Word.

Today, If You Hear His Voice – The Fight of Faith

Come to him this moment

Especially if you hear his voice,

Come to him; don’t turn away,

There is no better choice.

An Indictment

what does it mean to be indicted for a crime - Government Grants News | startgrants.com

If the world will only get worse

Then, what are we doing?

This would be an indictment on us

Surely from where I am viewing.

Before I go any further

Let me define “we” and “us”,

By these first-person pronouns I mean

Those named after Jesus.

I mean the “born-again”

More commonly known as Christians,

And certainly not “cushions”:

A once popular perversion.

The conversation would go like:

“Don’t you know she is a Christian?”

Whereupon there’d be the response,

“You must mean a cushion!”

Then would follow a history

Of the unchristian things she does

And the listener’s ears and mind

Would suddenly come abuzz.

Over 100 indicted by grand jury in Raleigh County - WOAY-TV

Immediately she’d be indicted

Whether false or true,

For especially in small societies

This is what we do.

While this may be a specific

The proverbial brush is applied to all

And this, not only to professors,

But also, to the called.

Professors and possessors alike

Painted with the same brush,

And such an indictment causing

A definite lack of trust.

If the world will only get worse

Christians are to blame!

Don’t kill the messenger yet,

Give him chance to explain.

Be salt and be light!”

Tell me, how can we do this

If this is an impossible task?

Something is here I miss.

Salt and Light | The JOY FM - Contemporary Christian Music, Christian Radio, Positive and Encouraging

This is the mandate given

As shown in the Gospel of Matthew

But the glitz and glamour of the world

Have redirected our view.

Hence, the indictment is on us

If the world will only get worse,

It means our salt and light are lacking;

We contribute to the curse.

Be salt, be light, as Jesus says

Cannot be an impossible task

And that we must be faithful to this

Is all the Saviour asks.

He has given the enablement,

He has provided the tools,

The indictment is definitely on us

If we gladly suffer fools.

Our outlook must be different

From the one we have settled on,

The world will only get worse

When every Christian is gone.

For every born-again believer

The world is a better place,

It is another light to light the dark

And salt to improve its taste.

A Thought

Some thoughts are so fleeting
And sometimes are gone so fast
That if we had to recount them
It would be an impossible task.

Try tracing a thought
From its inception to its end:
Even to contemplate this
It is difficult to comprehend.

Though we often think
We seldom analyze our thoughts
And the times we do
We’re either excited or distraught.

A thought is sometimes referred to
As a brilliant idea
Though just as often too
It can run the other way.

A thought may be sinister
Or it may be saintly like,
Of course the former is darkness
While the latter is light.

Thoughts are linked to our senses
They are received in five ways,
They are reflected in our actions
As we live out our days.

Some thoughts are bothersome
And load us down with care:
These we wish we could forget
But they don’t easily disappear.

Some thoughts make us happy
These are the desired experience
But unlike the other thoughts
They are not as intense.

Enough about thoughts though,
Let me concentrate on just one:
It will take just a few more verses
And then I will be gone.

When is the last time
You thought about your soul?
Can you trace it from its inception
Regarding the word you were told?

Please don’t dismiss that thought
Unceremoniously
For it bears a direct link
That speaks to your destiny.

For certainly that is a thought
That has eternal repercussions,
To ignore this particular thought
Is to court eternal damnation.

I know this sounds harsh
 And perhaps a little absurd
But you can verify it
If you search in God’s Word.

This thought comes from God
You are fortunate to have received it,
Make the best of your opportunity
Don’t resist the Holy Spirit.
