This Is Who I Am

Ephesians 1:13 NIV Illustrated: "Marked with His Seal" — Heartlight® Gallery

I am saved

And sanctified

And on my way to heaven.

I am pardoned

And set free

And definitely forgiven.

Glory!

Hallelujah!

I have a reason to shout!

I am an heir

And a joint-heir

And no longer left out.

I am delivered

From sin

Though I sometimes fall,

Through faith

And God’s grace

Jesus is my all in all.

Saved. Sealed. Satisfied. Ephesians 1:13-14

Once a slave

But now a son

By the power of Almighty God,

Through his blood

Shed on a Cross

Jesus is my entire cause.

Once blind

But now I see

Jesus opened my eyes,

Once dead

But no longer so

In Jesus Christ I am alive.

Glory and praise!

To God on high

My present and my coming King,

I will tell of his goodness

As long as I breathe

And of his wonderful grace I shall sing.

Salvation and Its Jargon 1

Image result for images for Titus 2:11

There are some terms

That we use rather loosely

And in most salvation sermons

They are used profusely.

Their usage is not wrong

But they need to be explained

So that in this poem

I shall attempt to do the same.

Let us start with “salvation”

To which the others are related:

It is the saving of a “sinner”

That sin had decimated.

In explaining salvation

You would have noticed another:

The term that I speak of

Is none other than sinner.

“Sin” is whatever is contrary

To the law of God or His will:

A sinner was born in a state of sin

And unless “saved” is of that state still.

Love Says

Image result for images for Romans 5:8

Love says I am forgiven
Love says I am called
Love says I am chosen
Yes, I am chosen of God

Love says I am free
Set free by God’s grace
And the Holy Spirit
Monitors my case

Love says I am a work
Crafted by the Spirit
His aim is my development
Everyday a little bit

Love says I am an heir
And joint-heir with Christ
Sitting in heavenly places
Wow! Isn’t that nice?

Love says I am loved
Despite faults and flaws
Any good in me
Is due to Love’s cause

Love says I am a conqueror
More than a conqueror
That’s what Love’s power
Is in me for

Love says I’m shaping you
To be a better man
To walk in accordance
With the Father’s plan

Love says I’m a witness
To God’s grace in me
A heaven-bound creature
Though created earthly

Love says I must love
Even as I am loved
Like Jesus, my Saviour
That came from above

Love says I am transformed
And being transformed
By him who is in me
Having been reborn

Image result for images for John 3:7

Love says I must conform
To the image of the Son
Christ my hope in glory
And for this race I run

Love says I am a winner
No loser I will be
Love is mine forever
And runs alongside of me

Love says God is in me
And also I am in Him
And by His Holy Spirit
Christ also dwells within

Love fortifies me forever
In this life and that to come
He does so through the Spirit
And Jesus Christ His Son?

This Love is the I AM
Yes, The Great I AM
The Only God and Saviour
Fully God yet fully man

The “Whosoever”

Image result for images of whosoever will may come

And the Spirit and the Bride say Come,
An open invitation to enlist in God’s kingdom,
An invitation to the wedding feast
Opened to the “whosoever”, the greatest and the least.

The “whosoever” will may come
Compliments of Jesus, God’s crucified and risen Son
Who died an “ignominious death”
But who forgave his perpetrators with his dying breath.

Today he calls out to the “whosoever” will,
Come while he patiently waits for you and me still,
Come, he is far more than a cheap emotional thrill,
Come, he’ll satisfy your soul; you’ll need no refill.

What an invitation signed in blood!
As he hung from that cross of blood stained wood,
Accept this invitation; the “whosoever” should,
For us Jesus has done all that he really could.

No less did God do, no more could he have done
Than to give Himself in the essence of His Son
To afford the “whosoever” an undeserving invitation
To the wedding of His Son and His everlasting kingdom.

If any man thirst let him come and drink,
Open to the “whosoever” with whom the Spirit links,
What a guarantee, what a revealing assurance!
Such an invitation should make all the difference.

For God so loved the world that He gave
That the “whosoever” won’t perish but be saved;
Nothing really matters regarding what you have achieved
If in Jesus Christ, the Saviour you have not believed.

The “whosoever” that lives and believes in Him
Jesus has relieved them from the penalty of sin,
Their sin has been expunged and death holds no sway,
Over the believer the grave no longer has that say.

Remission of sins is now the lot of the believer,
All them that are born again are the blessed receivers,
God indwells the “whosoever” that has confessed His Son
And promises safe harbor when earth’s journey is done.

Jesus is the propitiation for everyone’s sin,
He died on the cross our eternal souls to win,
Today some “whosoever” can be among the redeemed
If he accepts Jesus right now and let him intervene.

While this grand word “whosoever” still rings within your ears,
Harden not you heart but believe that Jesus cares,
For “whosoever” believes in Jesus shall not be ashamed
For he gave up heaven’s splendor our souls to reclaim.

“For God so loved the world” may be treated as all
But, “that whosoever will” is an individual call,
While in Adam the entire world suffered from the fall,
In Jesus “whosoever” can be saved; why do you yet stall?

Jesus is come as that promised Light to guide
That “whosoever” believes on him in darkness should not abide
But rather trust in him and in him alone confide,
Cognizant of the fact that this life is an unpredictable ride.

“Whosoever” is “whosoever” hears the voice of the Lord,
“Whosoever” is “whosoever” trusts in His written word,
“Whosoever” is the “whosoever” that daily does His bidding,
“Whosoever” is the “whosoever” that will be present at the wedding.

Think about this poem seriously rather than deem it as sport,
Refuse the devil’s offer to continue reveling in his court,
I shall be eternally grateful that “whosoever” became “Stewart”
For I know my Savior will conduct me safely to heaven’s port.
