It is New Year’s Day!

January 1, 2022 Calendar with Holidays & Count Down - USA

It is January 1st, 2022

I am here and so are you,

We give God thanks for another year

When so many have bid us adieu.

We haven’t a clue

The path this year will take

But given what we faced last year

It is enough to make us shake.

Shake in our boots

With the fear of the unknown

Just like a frightened infant

Taken from his home.

A cluster of COVID-19 in Beijing, People's Republic of China

COVID-19  is still with us

With an Election to come,

The result of which we will know

Before January is done.

Most project a result

That is stark obvious to them

But this will not automatically solve

A single problem.

Except of course,

For the one in their head:

That fantasy they dream about

As they lie in their bed.

The truth be told

It will only get worse,

Unless we seek out the one

Who can rid us of the curse.

The problem with the world

Is the curse of sin,

Not over population, scarce resources

Or the colour of one’s skin.

These are mere symptoms

Of the fore mentioned root cause,

You can stop clapping

All who mockingly applaud.

Clear Clichés examples and definition. This article will also show you the importance of Clichés and how to use it. A clich… | Literary terms, Cliche, Rule of three

I know some will say

This is a worn-out cliché

But it is no different from saying,

It’s just another day.

The scourge of sin’s curse

Is as factual as this day

And no amount of ignoring it

Will turn it away.

We can plan and implement

All that we like

But the blind will still be blind

Even in the presence of light.

It is New Year’s Day!

But in reality, just another day,

Things will continue the same

In the same old way.

And Christians will defer too

To even mention sin

Due to its politically incorrectness

And its cliché spin.

It is New Year’s Day!

Yes! The beginning of this year!

But the banality of the old year

Doth already appear.

I wish you the very best year

That you can possibly get

But that wouldn’t mean a thing

If you’re not born again yet.

And I think I am hearing

That’s a worn-out cliché too

But I will look past that trite remark

If that’s the best you can do.

However, I know differently

Hence, I offer you Christ,

He is the only answer for a world

Gripped in sin’s vice.

On this New Year’s Day

He will give you “New Life”,

What a way to start out 2022!

A New Life in Christ!

The “I” in SIN

I felt I had to write
But I knew not what,
However I persisted
And here is what I got.

Looking at the first verse
Here is what I saw
The “I” is dominating
Hence the self-rule law.

There is a tendency
To think so much of self,
Me, myself and I
Put others on the shelf.

Not quite the advice
That’s ordered in the Word:
God then others then I
It’s like I hadn’t heard.

The “I” so imposing
Sticks out like a sore thumb,
And reaching out to others
Not nearly so much fun.

It’s at the root of all evil
I must always be first,
And only by the Holy Spirit
Can one effect the reverse.

Lucifer was the first
That sought to push the “I”,
Now he’s the source of evil
Having left the sky.

Eve followed thereafter
As Satan led the way,
It must be mine she thought
And so it is today.
What ever the “I” sees
It is for the “I” to own,
And so we have a world of “I
And the “I” lives there alone.

Except of course for the “I’s”
Who see the same as he,
If there is any getting
The getting must be me.

Certainly not a good one
This portrait I have painted
But definitely a picture
With which we are acquainted.

The “I’s” have it
And that is unanimously so,
No wonder the Rastas declare
I” and “I” in co.

God becomes the big “I
I must be just like Him,
First Satan then Eve
Then a world full of SIN.

Do not misunderstand
The verse before this verse,
To be our own gods
Brings on us SIN’s curse.

Seize It Now!
 It has to be mine
And not tomorrow “I” urge
But now is the best time.

The “I” in SIN spells greed
Or avarice you may say,
Whatever you may call it
The “I” is the SIN-sick way.
