May

May 2025 Calendar (Free Printable) – Free Printables ...

You and I may or may not

But May will come

All because in a matter of hours

April will be done.

The year began yesterday

At least, that’s how it feels

But four months have passed

At a terrific speed.

Soon we will hear bells

Christmas bells, I mean,

And Old Year’s will be upon us:

Another changing scene.

January and February

March and April!

One-third of the year has gone;

It’s unretractable.

New Year’s resolutions

“Gone through de eddoes”,

We are not likely to change now;

You and I both know.

New Year’s resolutions

Are exactly that!

A New Year’s change for then

And that’s a fact.

It is nothing definitive,

Just a temporary urge

And even if it is in the least started,

Old self will re-emerge.

That is why in my case

I do not make any

For, I will never be of the few

But more so, of the many.

May is almost upon us

April is almost done,

Little success at our resolutions,

Failure has again won.

I reiterate, we may change,

Or most likely we may not

But that change can’t happen anytime,

I consider to be rot.

For every day begins a year:

The first day every 365,

Make new resolutions on any day

And then after them, strive!

You and I may see May

Or, you and I may not,

But, if in fact, you and I remain,

May will be our lot.

Enjoy the last eleven hours

Of April 2025

And after those New Year resolutions,

Continue to strive.

Looking to Christ in ‘24

That Man Of Calvary - Hymn Lyrics & Music - YouTube

Well, as it now stands

We are into 2024

And many are the fallen ones

That are here no more.

Two points, I dare say,

Define where we now stand:

Either at the brow, or at the foot

On the other hand.

If at the brow of 2024

Then the outlook is impressive,

If, however at the foot,

That may be negative.

At the brow we look out

While at the foot we look up,

At the foot is more daunting

Like a bitter cup.

At the foot is a deficit,

At the brow speaks of success-

Harping on the past in 2024

Will bring us stress.

The Last Words from the Cross: Day Two | By Common Consent, a Mormon Blog

The key to 2024

Is looking unto the Christ,

That middle man at Calvary

Who paid our sin’s price.

So, whether looking up

Or on the top looking out,

The way forward is Jesus Christ

And this is without doubt.

It depends therefore,

On whom we looking to,

The arm of flesh will fail us

Whether of me or you.

Psalm 121 'I Will Lift Up Mine Eyes Unto the Hills, from Whence Cometh my Help' - YouTube

Heavenly Father, I pray,

Help me keep my eyes on You

For without you in 2024

There’s nothing I can do.

I pray for my brother

And my sister reading this,

That re what they desire this year

You’ll be first on their list.

No Longer A Problem

A problem is no longer a problem
When it is solved,
That challenge is removed
As soon as it is resolved.

It is really not a problem
If you know how to solve it,
Hence a problem solver is one
For whom problems is a habit.

Two plus two is four
And four plus four is twelve
This need not be a problem
If you can read it well.

Tie two t’s to two toes
To tall trees, how many t’s in that?
If your answer is not two
You’ve got a problem; that’s a fact.

Many people are intimidated
By the problems of life:
Some are of their own making
Some result from the daily strife.

Failure to solve life’s problems
Labels one a failure:
That designation is a problem
And paints a dismal picture.

If life is your major problem
Then let me suggest the answer
For all your puzzles and difficulties
Jesus is the problem solver.

Not only is he the answer
To all of life’s big questions
But the little ones and the in between
And those silly nagging problems.

The Way, the Truth, the Life,
The object of our faith and hope;
With Christ as our problem solver
We will always be able to cope.

A problem is no longer a problem
When Jesus Christ is on board,
His solutions work every time
And betters any money can afford.
