Healing of the Nations

The Healing Of The Nations ~ Rev. 22:2

Healing of the nations

What really is it?

Let’s grab the Word of God

And pay a visit.

Forget all you have heard

Let the Word speak,

The knowledge you will glean

Will be quite a treat.

Revelation 22:2

In the midst of the street of it,

And on either side of the river,

Was there the tree of life,

Which bare twelve manner of fruits,

And yielded her fruit every month:

And the leaves of the tree

Were for the healing

Of the nations.

The healing of the nations

Via the tree of life

Obviously pertains to a time

When there is some strife.

You would recall

Adam and Eve’s plight

When they ate of the forbidden tree

And forfeited their right.

Their right to Eden

And all that pertained,

Placing the entire human race

Under sin's stain.

Banished From the Garden - GoodSalt

Cast out of Eden

And from the tree of life

But given the promise of salvation

And atoning sacrifice.

A ruggedly hewn cross

Became the tree of life

And the healing of the nations

No matter the strife.

Crucified thereon

Was the source of life,

Dying for all of earth’s peoples

Was Jesus the Christ.

It was divinely decreed

One must give up his life,

‘Twas for the sins of all peoples

Jesus paid the price.

Thus, healing the nations

As they turn to him

Recognizing he's the only remedy

For all earth’s sin.

Preaching of the cross

Is foolishness to some

But to every born-again believer

Salvation is come.

Reflection on 1 Corinthians 1:18-25 | New Life Narrabri

The cross is become

An instrument of life

Because on that cross of Calvary

Was Jesus sacrificed.

For the son of man

Had to be lifted up

And, as he said to his disciples,

Drink that bitter cup.

"Are ye able to drink?"

He once did ask

But not one of his disciples

Was up to this task.

There was no other

To pay the price of our sin,

Only Jesus could unlock the gate

And let us in.

The door of the sheep

And tree of life is he,

Only the middle man on the cross

Gives life eternally.

Matthew 28:19-20

Go ye therefore,

And teach all nations,

Baptizing them in the name of the Father,

And of the Son,

And of the Holy Ghost:

Teaching them to observe all things

Whatsoever I have commanded you:

And, lo, I am with you alway,

Even unto the end of the world.

So let it be.

Four Trees Worth Considering Part 1

Consider these trees
For in them you’ll see
Some interesting lessons
For you and me.

Three are found in the Bible
And one does not appear to be,
God in the beginning created two
And two were made by ‘you and me’.

In Genesis Chapter 2 and verse 9
Two of these trees are mentioned,
One was associated with life
The other brought damnation.

In the midst of Eden’s garden
Stood out the tree of life
But also in the midst of paradise
Was the tree that led to strife.

Right there in the garden too
Were our created fore parents,
They were given full charge of Eden
And to enjoy it was God’s intent.

There were many trees in the garden
From which Adam and Eve could choose
But the devil in the form of a serpent
Certainly was not amused.

He had once shared in a paradise
Way up in heaven above
But was cast down because of pride
Eternally separated from God’s love.

Well, here was another paradise
To which he too had access
And there he also determined
That he would create a mess.

And so he monitored the two
For when they were apart
And with his cleverly thought out plan
He appealed to the woman’s heart.

The serpent was very pretty
And soon he got Eve’s attention,
He invited her to chat with him
And therefore made good his intention.

“Hath God said?” was his approach,
Very deceptive in question form
Implying that Eve had misunderstood
And to eat of all the trees was the norm.

“That tree in the midst of Eden
Is really no different from the rest.”
Satan impressed Eve with his banter
And so she flunked God’s test.

God had specified the tree
It was of the knowledge of good and evil,
To Eve it was in the midst of the garden
And like the rest could be eaten from still.

God’s command was not to eat
But Eve emphasized the matter of touch
God had said, “You shall surely die.”
But Eve had no idea of death as such.

In disobedience Eve ate of the tree
And shared it with her husband, Adam,
The eyes of them both were opened
And the death curse came upon man.

You would recall there was another
That was known as the tree of life
So lest Adam had eaten of that tree
God drove out both him and his wife.

The first form of security in the Bible
Was instituted at the Garden of Eden,
There were Cherubims and a flaming sword
Positioned to protect the garden.

We next read of the tree of life
In Revelation 2 and verse 7,
This obviously is the scene
After Jesus’ return from heaven.

It bears twelve kinds of fruits
And produces its fruit in all seasons,
The leaves which are very important too
Are used for the healing of the nations.

Unlike the fall that occurred in Eden
People will have the right to this tree,
All who are washed in the blood of the Lamb
Will be able to enter that city.
