Yahweh is My God
The meaning of his name
One of “the major prophets”
Of Old Testament fame
Called as a prophet
And sent to Northern Israel
To them he ministered
And he did this well
God vindicated him
With miracles and signs
He was seen on a Mount
In New Testament times
His featured message
Was about Israel’s reform
Their idolatrous behavior
Had become the norm
Once he fled from a queen
After a great victory
His fear for his life
Brought him much misery
Ravens brought him food
From a brook he drank
Among the prophets
He held a high rank
He mentored a prophet
That became his successor
Thereafter he went to heaven
In a chariot of fire
