He who has the Son has all
There is nothing more he needs,
All that one needs is in the Son
And the Son satisfies indeed.
He who has not the Son has nothing
He has nothing that he needs,
He may be rich in this world’s goods
But is still very poor indeed.
Some may think that they are rich
But the Bible says they are poor,
These are they who are without Christ
They are dissatisfied the more.
Some are clothed in costly attire
But the Bible describes them as naked,
Like those in the Laodicean church
Just like the Bible stated.
Some believe they have no lack
On account of their tremendous wealth,
But when they are drawing their dying breath
It does nothing for their health.
There is nothing that a person has
That is as beneficial as the Son of God,
Neither wealth nor friends nor family
Nothing at home or abroad.
Some have an abundance of knowledge
Numerous skillsets and expertise
But without the lifegiving Son of God,
They can only pretend to be at ease.
He who has the son has assurance
In this life and the life to come,
That is where our real wealth will be
When the wealth of earth is done.
He who has the Son has freedom
The freedom of the saved,
The freedom that makes a better now
That motivates people to behave.
He who has the Son has a hope
In the promise of eternal life
With all the saints and Jesus Christ
At the end of this earthly strife.
He who has the Son takes all
A package of infinite proportions,
Bequeathed to all of the born-again
The measure of God’s salvation.
He who has the Son becomes one
A son of the Heavenly Father,
An heir and joint heir with Jesus Christ
And a glorious life in the hereafter.
