Be Glad

Be glad if you are a Christian

Be glad if you are saved,

Be glad that you have been set free

Now you really must behave.

Walk the walk befitting a Christian

As the Holy Spirit leads the way

And be glad that he is leading

Each and every day.

Be glad you’ve found the Saviour

The Saviour of the World,

Be glad you have him in your heart

And that there too is his Word.

Tell all your friends about him

How he saves and sanctifies,

Be glad and share Jesus with them

How he keeps and satisfies.

Be glad you have the Holy Spirit

Indwelling your transformed heart,

Be glad that he is there forever

Be glad he will never depart.

For in the Word he has promised

He will never leave us alone,

Be glad he will never forsake you

And that he claims you for his own.

Trust God through thick and thin

Always walking by His side,

Be glad when things get rough

You can still enjoy the ride.

Be glad that in this world’s reality

You have a sustaining spirituality

That regardless of Satan’s activity

You can live above depravity.

We know that there is a sentence

Imposed upon the earth

But be glad the blood takes care of it

In the offer of the second birth.

Be glad for the blood of Jesus

That cleanses us from all sin,

Be glad that in your penitent faith

You were able to come to him.

Be glad has been negatively skewed

In a deceptive acronym

But a rose is a rose whatever its name

And such is the case with sin.

It comes in a variety of forms

BGLAD is one of them

And though like light it is presented

It is deliberate deception my friend.

So be glad if you recognize this

Be glad you have not gone that way,

Be glad that you can give a message

To a brother that has gone astray.

Be glad you can tell a sister

Of the glorious message of salvation,

How Jesus can still deliver

From sin’s curse and degradation.

 

Leaving God’s Basic Template is Queer

And BGLAD is not advisable,

Righteousness exalts a nation

But sin is a reproach to any people.

Deception is a shrouded reality

Like BGLAD and LGBTQ,

Share with them the love of Jesus

And pray they will change their view.
