What’s up Smartie?

Man, I cool Moron.

I know we celebrating fifty-two
But things real tough.

And the way it’s looking
It will get rougher too.

I got to agree with you.
But Smartie,
What you think about these layoffs?

Man I knew it would happen
But they kept putting it off.

You seriously think
That it was necessary?

Yes, remember I told you so
But you didn’t take me seriously.

I hear that at ACP
More than half have to go.

Yes Moron, that is sad
But I told you so.

Man you like you’re in the mix
You know a lot of things.

Moron if I tell you the half
Your ears would ring.
This country in lots of trouble
And we must protect the dollar
Cause if it ever devalue
We could as well don’t bother.

File:Flag map of the contiguous United States (1912-1959 ...

Smartie, I don’t know much
But I understand what you mean.
If this dollar ever devalue
It is back to the Queen.

Yes Moron, Independence gone,
Total dependence again.
Even to think about it
I am already feeling the pain.

With all of these layoffs
Any of your children had to go?

I will be honest with you
The answer to that is “no”.

Smartie you are very fortunate
And I am happy for you
But then again you have contacts.
I always knew.

Moron, my children don’t work.
They still depend on me
So they cannot get lay off.
That is definitely not a possibility.

You ever try to get them jobs?

I don't need to.  They don't need any.

What do you mean, Smartie?

Why work when you can get money?
They don’t lack for a thing
And whenever they are ready
They could go and have a fling.

But Smartie,
That sounds like foolishness.

To you that may be so, Moron,
But for me it is best.

You really got me lost,
Help me to understand.

Look, I have said too much already.
What you don’t know don’t hurt you
And even so Moron,
You and I have a different point of view.

Man, Smartie
You are getting very touchy though,
I like I touch a raw nerve.

All I am telling you Moron
Is that you are heading for trouble.
I would advise you to swerve.

All right Smartie, if you say so
We could go to another topic
But I really didn’t mean to rattle you
Not even a little bit.

Anyway Moron, I am finish for now.
We can talk another time.
Right now I am on a mission
And my oldest boy I must find.
I am going to collect some money,
And it will be a quite a lot.
Do you want any?

No Smartie, I am all right.
I got a little pension and I am satisfied.
Your boys are looking out for you
And on them you have always relied.
Ah...but the one in prison…
What was his problem again?

Moron I warned you already
From that line of questioning,
Please refrain!

But Smartie everybody knows
Two of your boys gone up state
And the oldest that you depending on
Heading for that same fate.

Look I will see you, Moron.
It is getting late.

After Smartie leaves...

None of his boys ever work a day
But they have big business.
That is their way.

They are into pharmaceuticals
In a manner speaking…
That is the word on the street
That has been leaking.

I thought I would share that with you
But keep it to yourself
Cause around this place
I fear for my health.

Smartie filled his bucket and he gone along.
So while my bucket was filling
I thought I would let you know.
Now my bucket is full
I too must go.

Have a happy Independence
Tell the PM not to move this standpipe.
Round here is real politics.
Politicians are not the only ones that bright.

By the way,
For all who thinking differently from me
A Certain Place
Is what I mean by the abbreviation ACP.

I gone too.

And to think that they call me a moron.
