The Colour of Sin

The colour of sin
Is said to be black
But so is the absence of light

In the spectrum of colour
One need not bother
That light is regarded as white

The truth be told
If I could be that bold
Sin does not possess a colour

But by association
Man made a conclusion
And now that colour is a bother

It is however critical
And this might be pivotal
In the Bible sin is regarded as red

Let us go to the scene
of Isaiah 1 verse 18
And see what the prophet there said

Come let us reason
Now is the season
Let’s hear the word of the Lord

Two colours are used
But do not be confused
Underline the word red in the Word

Scarlet and crimson
There is no exemption
Both of these colours denote red

But note the contrast
Don’t let this pass
Go back and see what else was said

Get with the flow
There is wool and snow
These too are also mentioned

It’s not about colour
That should be the bother
But accepting the offer of redemption

This is the key
And I hope that you see
The issue here cannot be colour

But from sin turn
For the Saviour yearn
And him always you should follow
