Frantic and Panic
Both end with “I see”,
But the truth be told
They are as blind as blind can be.
Neither sees faith,
I can tell you that,
Fear is their dominant factor
And we all know that’s a fact.
They imply behavior
Without sight or insight
And the usual reaction
Is like a deer caught in headlights.
If God be for us
Who can be against us?
Paul asks in Romans 8:31
Considering the stance of the just.
It is oft repeated
By Christian believers
But seem to lack the evidence
When they face the devil’s bull terriers.
Frantic sets in
And Panic becomes large
And for some unknown reason
The Devil appears to be in charge.
If prayer is required
It must be hastily so
And the pent-up fury and fervor
Says that God does not know.
Get ahead of the queue
In the stretched prayer line,
God might not be able to do anything
If we don’t get there in time.
Unlike that time
When Jesus was four days late,
And his sick friend, Lazarus,
Succumbed to the flesh’s natural fate.
We are aware
That God is always on time
Yet, Panic and Frantic set in
And makes a turmoil of our mind.
Do you know these twins?
Do you know them by name?
Do you experience them
Every now-and- again?
It really means, my friend,
That Satan is setting you up
And I dare say to you and me
We mustn’t drink from the Devil’s cup.
We must go beyond reciting
“Greater is he that is in us”
And in a calm and collective way
Trust in our Lord, Christ Jesus.
Let faith replace initial fear
And claim the promise of God,
Drive back Frantic and Panic:
These Generals of Satan, aka King Fraud.
He works with deception
Of which these two are a part
But neither of them, I tell you,
Has any right in the believer’s heart.
Frantic and Panic
Both end with “I see”,
But this is the Devil’s deception
To trap you and me.
