The Indwelling Trinity

Pin by Michael Waller on Matthew 1:21 | Ephesians, Bible questions, Bible questions and answers

Ephesians 3:19

“To know the love of Christ,

Which surpasses knowledge

That you might be filled

With all the fullness of God.”

John 14:23

“If a man loves me, he will keep my words

And my Father will love him,

And we will come unto him

And make our abode with him.”

Notice the “WE” in verse 23:

It means the Father and the Son,

Facilitated by the Holy Spirit

In us are these three in one.

Notice the “US” in the preceding line,

Of whom are we really speaking?

All those that are born again

And in the Spirit living.

Romans 8:9

“But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit,

If so be that the Spirit dwells in you.

Now if any man has not the Spirit of Christ,

He is none of his.”

There is many a discussion

About the Trinity,

There is no such mention in the Word

Some argue vehemently.

Yet, the preceding Bible verses

Imply its reality,

From the moment we are born again

We are indwelt by the Trinity.

How else could God the Father

Make us His holy temple?

It is by the indwelling Trinity

That we become His people.

For the unfolding of the same,

Please read Ephesians chapter 3,

Particularly verses 14-19

And you will definitely see.

The Father of our Lord Jesus Christ

Of whom the family in heaven and earth is named,

May you be strengthened throughout your day! - Ephesians 3:16 eCard - Free Facebook Greeting Cards Online

That he would grant you,

According to his riches in glory,

To be strengthened with might

By his Spirit in the inner man.

That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith;

That you, being rooted and grounded in love,

May be able to comprehend with all saints

The breadth and length and depth and height.

And to know the love of Christ,

Which passes knowledge,

That you might be filled

With all the fullness of God.

Spend a little time, if you may,

To consider the meaning of “ALL”,

To be filled with “ALL” the fullness of God,

I am inexplicably enthralled.

But it’s what the Bible says,

Right in the pages of Holy Writ,

This temple of mine as the Word declares

Houses the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

This revealing prayer of the apostle Paul

Should stablish our hearts and hope,

Such that when the high winds come

We know in the Trinity we can cope.

What Does Romans 8:9 Mean?

Such houses, as our temples are,

Are not reinforced from without

But are strengthened by what’s inside:

The TRINITY, without a doubt.
