Just A Breath Away

27] Genesis 2:7 – The Statue of Yahweh
At first it lay there
Fashioned in the most beautiful way,
A perfect symmetrical creation
But, yet to see the light of day.

Nothing worked, it could not move
Though beautiful in every way,
A splendid sculpture was all it was
As before its creator it lay.

Any human sculptor would be satisfied
To have created such a masterpiece
But this Master sculptor was not through,
One thing remained before he ceased.

He was working towards this end
And his work was almost complete,
Just one day before the exhibition
And the viewers would be in for a treat.

Everything was in its place
The lighting, the plants, the animals,
And soon, very soon, this exhibition
Would be enjoyed by a couple people.

But to this beautiful molding before him
What else would he do?
What was the one thing that was to happen
Before this creator was though?

This piece had taken him the longest
It was his greatest workmanship,
Only one other piece would compare,
And they would view his exhibits.

Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground ...

Suddenly it stood up straight
No longer on the ground did it lay,
It was as though the one thing that remained
Was just a breath away.

The creator breathed into its nostrils
His wonderful breath of life
And with one of his ribs he fashioned
Another to become his wife.

She was similar in many ways
But different in more than a few
And for the man who gazed upon her,
She presented a romantic view.

“Bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh,”
He was recorded to have said,
And while she was not to be dominated,
He was to become her head.

What Does Genesis 2:7 Mean?

Just a breath away between sculpture and life
And only once it has been done,
By the Almighty Creator and no one else,
When the human race was begun.

A single divine breath was all it took
And the first man became a living soul,
And out of him the woman was made
And that made the two of them one whole.

Just one breath away that separates
Every human being from the mould,
And the moment that that breath departs
So does that human soul.

As it is in the physical domain
So it is in the spiritual,
It requires the breath of the Holy Spirit
To create a born-again believer.

What is Eternal Life? Biblical Definition of Eternal Life ...

Just a breath away, my friend,
And God’s eternal salvation can be yours,
No longer will you be dead in your sins
And this is what God’s Word assures.

I am reminded of the title of a song
“Breathe on me breath of God”,
The Creator Himself still provides that breath
In believers at home and abroad.

He is the one that gives to us life
In the physical as well as the spiritual,
And while on our earthly sojourn it is temporal,
For the born-again believer it is eternal.
