On
This
Christmas
We give God
All of the praise
For His great Gift.
We
Give Him thanks
For the coming of Jesus
And for our souls he did lift.
As
We gaze at the Christmas tree
And
Its lights of yellow, red and green
May we all be reminiscent of another tree,
Of
That cruel cross that stood there at Calvary.
From that tree hung our Saviour, God’s only begotten.
In
Him
Slain before the foundation of the world, we are forgiven
Through the blood that flowed from His body that was riven
For
Our
Sin
Jesus, God’s Son died,
In him we have life
But his salvation
Is to be applied.
In the cross of Christ we glory
Is the message of the Christmas story.
