What Does It Mean?

 

 

What does it mean

That Jesus has been risen?

Well, it means to me for sure,

That I am forgiven.

 

For this cause, he came,

For this man, Christ was slain

And with my sins all washed away,

I can never be the same.

 

For me he died,

For me he rose,

For me he is coming again

And in this I repose.

 

 

A selfless life he lived,

A horrid death he died,

But when from the grave he arose

Death was suddenly denied.

 

What does it mean

That my Saviour lives?

Well, it means to me for sure,

All that I need he gives.

 

The grace for today,

The love for family and friends,

The vision of a lost and dying soul

And a rescue from Satan’s den.

 

What does it mean

That my Lord is reigning?

Well, it means to me for sure

That I am living.

 

For in as much as he died

I died with him

And in as much as he is reigning

I reign with him.

 

And this is not an idle boast

No, not at all,

I’m an heir and joint heir with him

Being one of the called.

 

 

 Called and justified,

Sanctified and predestined,

Imputed righteousness is mine

And I’m washed from all sin.

 

Empowered to do right,

Enlightened to eschew evil,

To daily walk in the light Christ Jesus

And resist the sly old devil.

 

What does it mean

That Christ is coming again?

It means to me for sure

That I occupy until then.

 

What does it mean

That Christ has been risen?

It means that all that trust in him

Are completely forgiven.

 

 

 

Forgiven because he has risen,

Forgiven of all their sin,

Forgiven is his eternal pardon

Because he lives within.
