Four principles you must know
If salvation you will receive,
There are rather straightforward
But you must believe.
The first is God’s great love:
That’s why He sent His Son
To die in our stead
For we were so undone.
For God so loved the world
That he gave His only begotten Son
That whosoever believes in him
Shall not perish
But have everlasting life.
The second is our contamination
We are tainted by sin,
No exceptions to that fact
Our situation is grim.
For all have sinned
And fallen short of the glory of God,
Our “wages” is death, eternal death,
There is nothing in that to applaud.
For the Catholics, that means Mary,
For the Mormons, Joseph Smith,
For the Jehovah’s Witnesses, CT Russell
And the SDA’s, Ellen G White,
You get my drift.
For the Wesleyans, Charles Wesley
And the Muslims, Mohammed,
All means all, none excepted,
Every last one did.
If we say we have no sin,
We make God a liar
And the truth is not in us,
Hence, the only sinless one
Is God’s begotten Son, Jesus.
Which brings me to number three
The one by whom we can be saved,
Jesus is that only one,
He’s the Son, the Father gave.
There is no other under heaven
Whereby we can access salvation,
Jesus is our kinsman redeemer
Through him we have redemption.
So, what should be our response?
That’s principle number four,
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ
No less and no more.
God sent His Son
On account of our sin,
In order to be pardon
We must believe on him.
For God sent His Son into the world
To condemn the world,
But that the world through him
Might be saved.
He that does not accept the Son
Is already condemned
But he that accepts the Son
Is assured of the heavenly realm.
Acknowledge you are a sinner,
Confess and repent of your sin,
Acknowledge Jesus as the only Saviour
And in penitence come to him.
He that comes to me
I will in no wise cast out,
These are the words of Jesus
And deserve a hallelujah shout.
Hallelujah!
