What is the season for treason

And your reason for joining its legion?

Truth often brings conviction

But lies accompany dereliction

Pretension is a great squealer

There’s none so dead as those who will not care

There’s none so blind as those who will not see

Yesterday’s gone, forever in the past

Many a suspicion with which we wrestle

The wife is the one who told him so

The leopard does not change his spots

But things in the distant appear as dots
