Happy Birthday Mike!

 

 

He’s one shy of four decades

Having arrived there today,

He looks pretty good for his age,

What do you expect me to say?

 

Still on the younger side of 40

Though not for very long,

I am seeing a little around the middle

But he still appears quite strong.

 

He is struggling with a beard

Which is his pride and joy

Such that when he looks in the mirror,

Its lack makes him annoyed.

 

He cuts his hair quite low

And baldness is beginning to show,

It might be best to cut it all off

And then none of us would know.

 

He will be 4-seventh my age

In just another year,

If you noted the 30 years difference

Your math is more than fair.

 

 

All of this is simply to say

That today is Michael’s birthday,

Help me, his mum and his little sister

Celebrate it in a meaningful way.

 

So, wish him a “Happy Birthday!”

Before this day is past,

After that it would be belated greetings

So, make it a today’s task.
