If God be for us
Who can be against us?
A resounding “No One”
Thanks be to Jesus!
Does it mean no opposition?
No, not at all,
Tribulations and trials
Will compass the called.
So, what does it mean
When it implies no one?
Don’t stop reading, friend,
Just continue to read on.
Romans chapter 8 verse 31
Is where we must go,
Let’s go there now
And see what it shows.
What shall we then say
To all these things?
In verses 18 to 30
Note the signet ring.
Therein is the seal
Concerning whose we are,
He who is for us
Exceeds all opposition by far.
This may appear simplistic
But it’s the Gospel truth
And throughout our trials
There is ample proof.
We may lose a battle
That we fight in the flesh
But when we fight in the Spirit
Our inner-man is refreshed.
For the born-again believer
There is no ultimate defeat,
Neither in this world or the next;
That’s worthy to repeat.
None can successfully oppose
Any child of God,
Never accept, my friend,
The
lies of the king fraud.
Our position in Christ
Speaks to God’s everlasting love
And God’s indwelling Spirit
Says I am a child from above.
Who shall separate us
From the love of Christ?
The answer is a resounding no one,
No implement or device.
The devil knows this
But won’t ever stop from trying,
Even down to the point
That he knows we are dying.
Ours is an extraordinary position
And an unsurpassed privilege,
We possessed the Holy Spirit
As our accessed bridge.
He is our earnest deposit
And God’s eternal seal,
In Christ we have the victory
As God’s Word reveals.
Translated from darkness
Into God’s marvellous light,
Once blind in the past
But now we have sight.
We’ve been bought with a price:
A once for all sacrifice,
Compliments of Jesus Christ
Who willingly paid the price.
The price for our sin
And the cost of redemption
And now in Jesus Christ
We have eternal salvation.
We are accepted by God
Through His beloved Son,
We are heirs and joint-heirs
In His eternal kingdom.
No matter what circumstances
Life throws at us,
The victory is ours
In
the name of Jesus.
Conceived in eternity
Before earth’s foundation was laid
The debt that was ours
Our empathetic Saviour paid.
Every battle he has fought
And every battle he has won
So that today we can rejoice
In that we are daughters and sons.
God’s plan is unfailing,
Therein is our success
And as sheep of His pasture
We can safely rest.
This is an astonishing truth
And a comfort to all:
Namely those the Bible refers to
As the saved and the called.
So, who can be against us?
A resounding “No One”!
Hence, in Jesus we can say,
“Satan, be gone!”
