Failures trust Jesus,
This is a view
By those who vehemently believe
That’s all they can do.
Jesus is a copout
For those who fail
And Christianity as some see it
Is a whale of a tale.
No wonder females
Outnumber males
For church is a good place to go
Whenever you fail.
Who needs Jesus
If they’re getting through?
No, Jesus props up failures-
That’s their view.
Come all gullible
And you, failures too!
Jesus is always there for such
Like you.
It’s not scholarship:
Creation picture,
And right from the beginning
There’s utter failure.
Two in Eden’s Garden
Created to fail,
With a temptation so colossal
When Satan assailed.
Failures they were
And were thrown out,
That Christianity is for failures
Is without a doubt.
“If you’ve tried everything
And everything has failed”,
Became a popular church slogan
On the evangelism trail.
“If everything has failed”
Suggests last resort,
Jesus is not for the successful
Would be an apt retort.
Failures trust Jesus,
This is a view
By those who vehemently believe
That’s all they can do.
This position is suspect
But it is also truth,
Bear with me a little longer
While I supply the proof.
Refocus your lens
And you’ll see the picture,
Without the Lord Jesus Christ
One is a failure.
Nothing truly satisfies
Outside of him
Simply because he is the only cure
For our sin.
Therein is our failure:
Our susceptibility to sin
And the only remedy there is,
Is to come to him.
Notice I said ‘come’
And not ‘go’
Because his indwelling Spirit
Witnesses to ‘I know’.
All are failures
Ever since the first Adam
But the second Adam, Jesus Christ,
Is the success plan.
So, failures trust Jesus
For their eventual success
And the truth of the matter is,
This success is the best.
All success is failure
If not Jesus appropriate
Thus, we need him in our life,
That failure to negate.
